Golfeados are soft rolls, filled with panela or muscovado sugar, some cheese and a touch of anise seeds. At the end of the baking time, these rolls are brushed with panela syrup which gives them that golden brown color.

Brown sugar (or panela, a type of unrefined sugar, for an authentic touch)

Tequeño is a type of fried cheese that is breaded. The cheese is usually queso blanco (white cheese). It came from the Venezuelan town of Los Teques. It is popular in Venezuela as a snack for parties.

Cachitos are a Venezuelan food similar to the croissant, and are often filled with ham and cheese.
